Nicola's Story - 'A City Responds to Crisis: Volunteers and the HIV & AIDS Epidemic 1980s – 1990s' (December 2018)
A new historical exhibition, ‘A City Responds to Crisis: Volunteers and the HIV and AIDS Epidemic in Sydney, 1980s-1990s ‘ honours and celebrates the selfless contributions of volunteers and the role they played in the early years of the epidemic. In this video, long-serving ACON team member Nicola Addison shares her story with CSN, caring for those in our communities, many of whom had no one else to turn to for support.
Curated by Dr Shirleene Robinson, the exhibition is on until 11 December 2019, 1-5pm weekdays and 12-2pm weekends, at M2 Gallery, 4/450 Elizabeth St Surry Hills. Sponsored by the City of Sydney and run in partnership with ACON.

It seeks to deliver justice for victims and survivors, and aid the ongoing healing process for loved ones and members of the LGBTI community who continue to be impacted today.
